We are now on the Peißnitz island. This is a very big recreation area. However, we won't be able to explore the whole island, because this would take several hours.
We are not crossing the river Saale. Instead we are following the bank of the river downstream. This area is called Riveufer, named in memory of the famous major Rive at the beginning of the 20th century.
