Georg-Friedrich Händel (1685-1759) is the most important child of the city. Today there is a museum in his former birthplace. You can see the backyard with a nice cafe in the picture. On the central market square you can find the Händel monument.
Händel was mainly during his childhood in Halle. In Halle he learnt to play the organ in the Marktkirche. Later he travelled through the world like Hamburg and London.
